Joe McGarry is an animation director, FX artist and composer who frequently works in tandem with his twin brother, cartoonist Luke McGarry. Their credits include music videos for artists such as Guster, Desaparecidos, Nerfherder and Hoodie Allen, TV commercials for Tenacious D and Geico, the award-winning short film "Chainsaw of Love," and their corporate client list numbers Google, Vice, Vans and Visa among others. The brothers are also partners in Pop Noir, the indie music duo who have shared stages with Robyn, The Wombats, A Certain Ratio and Doves and who recently had three songs in the movie "Summer of 69." As a creative director in his own right, Joe has edited videos for Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo and designed for clients including the BBC, Botanist Gin and the Julian Casablancas-helmed record label, Cult.
